Matthew Lee High's Really Simple Web Page

Here I am, on the beach, digging up more comic books to sell! Somewhere under that pile of sand is a hidden stash of comics from a shipwrecked Spanish galleon from centuries past. Legend has it that around the year 1600, the pirate ship "Marvello" was caught in a hurricane, wrecking it on the shores of the Florida coast. All of t he plundered comic books in its holds were thrown ashore, supposedly lost forever. (No, not really. Actually, this is me on Sanibel Island back in 1973)

Yeah, I know, this web page is not much to look at -- I basically just took about five minutes to slap something together really quickly -- no fancy formatting, no neat little videos or links. Sorry. Maybe I'll get to all of that later, or maybe not. There's always too much to do, and not enough time to do it.

So, who am I? My name is Matthew Lee High, and I currently work for Cold Cut Distribution. More biographical information to be added later. I'm not sure what I will do with this web page in the future -- the reason that I purchased this domain name was so that I could get a bunch of online storage space to host all of the pictures of items I have for sale on Ebay -- with thousands and thousands of items sold, that can really add up to lots of space. But along with the storage space comes this domain name, web page, etc. Stay tuned for more.

Genealogy Stuff

One of my hobbies for the past two decades -- I've been studying my family tree. It's something I hack away at a little bit at a time, and I've managed to do quite a bit of research over the years. The only problem is, very little of it is organized; I plan to organize some of the information and put it on this website.
The descendants of Lodewick Alford High (1800-1885)

This is a file that I have been working on for the past couple of years. It is a flat-text file (no links, just plain, unformatted text) that contains an exhaustive list of all of the descendants of Lodewick A High, as well as all related families. This file is continuously being updated. Last online update is mid-November 2005, and since then I've found enough additional information to add about 30-40% to the file, so stay tuned for a new update.
